Tua Rita was founded in 1984 in Suvereto, in the heart of the Val di Cornia, from the vision and passion of Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti.
What was originally intended to be a small country property surrounded by nature gradually became one of Tuscany’s most prestigious wineries, internationally recognised for the exceptional quality of its wines.
From the original two hectares of vineyards, the estate has grown to its current 65 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, while remaining true to the philosophy that made it famous: producing outstanding wines through meticulous vineyard management, deep respect for the land and uncompromising attention to every detail.

Tua Rita’s vineyards enjoy a unique location between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills of Suvereto, where the influence of the sea meets mineral-rich soils.
Clay, sand, silt, rocks and trace minerals create an exceptional terroir that gives the wines elegance, depth, distinctive mineral notes and remarkable freshness.

The winery: where wine comes to life
If the vineyards are the heart of the estate, the winery is its soul.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, carefully sorted on selection tables and vinified with meticulous attention to preserve their finest characteristics.
Following fermentation, the wines mature for a minimum of twelve months in French oak barriques inside a cellar distinguished by vaulted concrete ceilings, orderly rows of barrels and a striking mural by fantasy artist Raffaele De Rosa, creating a truly unique atmosphere.
